Upon our arrival here at Comic-Con, we weren't quite sure what to expect from the newly founded Summit Pictures. What I saw during their presentation earlier today, however, made me feel like they have been around for quite a while. Much to Alex's dismay, most of the fans were there for Summit's winter film Twilight. The good stuff was all before Twilight as we found out - Push delivered! Push is directed by Paul McGuigan (of Lucky # Slevin previously, a personal favorite of mine) and stars Chris Evans (Fantastic Four, Sunshine), Dakota Fanning (Man on Fire, War of the Worlds), Djimon Hounsou (Blood Diamond) and Camilla Belle (10,000 B.C.); all but Fanning were at the panel today. This was the second big panel in the line-up this year at Comic-Con and it surely didn't disappoint with some great footage! From what we saw (they had a three ...

This looks bad enough to excite even the most bored housewife into thinking what they are watching is actual entertainment. Featured below is the trailer for the made-for-tv-movie-prequel-mid-season-trailer for "24" called "24: Exile" and if you haven't seen Blood Diamond or the news ever, this may seem interesting. Also, what the hell is the deal with the 12-year-old reading the voice over? You gotta love the cheap attempt with Clint Mansell's Requiem for a Dream soundtrack music as it may be the only thing worthy of praise.

Paul Schrader’s two lectures at Osian’s Cinefan Film Festival were clubbed with the screening of two of most well known works. For many of us who had not seen Mishima this was a golden opportunity thanks to the mint fresh print. Schrader was quite excited as he had done some work on the soundtrack as well as added a scene that he had previously edited out for the upcoming Criterion DVD release of the film. The film is a very interesting study of a writer driven by suicidal tendencies. During a Q&A that followed the film Schrader confessed that he wanted to follow up Taxi Driver with a film about a middle-aged man who was fueled by a passion to take his life. He had, in fact, written a film on Hank Williams but couldn’t get around getting it made. He chanced upon Mishima through his

Director Edward Zwick, whose credits include “The Last Samurai” and “Blood Diamond,” is just a couple of months away from releasing his latest epic “Defiance,” about three Jewish brothers who escape from the Nazis and join Russian resistance fighters in their struggle to survive.
Today we have a first look at the official poster for the movie, which stars Daniel Craig, Liev Schreiber and Jamie Bell (that guy from “Jumper”). It’s a pretty simple one-sheet, but it’s got just the right look for a war drama. The film opens Dec. 12, 2008. Enjoy the poster below.
