Synopsis
Gaylord Films producer Casey La Scala makes his directorial debut with the teen comedy Grind. Just before entering college, young skateboarder Eric Rivers (Mike Vogel) decides to take a road trip from Chicago to California with his smart friend Dustin (Adam Brody) and his wacky friend Matt (Vince Vieluf). Despite their underdog status, they intend to make it big in the world of skateboarding in the wake of legendary touring skater Jimmy Wilson (Jason London). They end up recruiting a fourth team member named Sweet Lou (Joey Kern) as Eric romances the film's token attractive female Jamie (Jennifer Morrison). Grind also features appearances by real-life pro skaters like Bam Margera, along with an energetic pop/rock soundtrack. ~ Andrea LeVasseur, All Movie Guide

2.0 out of 5 stars Get out of the pool., May 9 2004
By "dogberry" (Longview, TX USA) - See all my reviews
This movie is hard to stomach. The best part of the movie comes from the sporadic insertion of skating sequences. The skaters are skilled and a pleasure to watch, but this does not make a good movie. The humor in the movie is sophomoric at best and never really produces a good laugh. I felt that my time was wasted by sitting in front of this drivel for 104 minutes. Avoid this loser of a movie.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, Nov 7 2003
By Amanda Moore (Los Angeles, Ca) - See all my reviews
Some of you might believe this movie was not worth seeing. I would say it is worth seeing for the stunts and the acting. Ok they are not A-list stars but they do pretty good. And the stunts are worth paying $6.00.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not a classic, but a fun saturday movie!, Nov 28 2005
A fun little saturday movie, OK humour. Not supposed to be taken seriously at all.
This film is a teenager party-flick. Only for casual viewing, for skateboarders, teenagers, and, like me, people reviewing movies. Nothing more. Sure, the humour is bland, but it is also kind of fun. Me and my friend laughed like heck when Adam stuck up the finger and said "Ride my finger boards, b*tches!" HILARIOUS!
An overall fun comedy, nothing less and nothing more. I did buy it, but I only paid ten dollars. Get it at a bargain bin or at previously viewed. :-)

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME
This movie is awesome, i highly recomend it, they don't come any funnier than this. The characters tie into a twisted plot to rule the world, not really, but it is good any way.
