3.0 out of 5 stars Good, not great, Jul 18 2004

I have heard some of the album, overall the music is good, but I have to say that "Kayleigh's Funeral" is by far the best on the soundtrack.

Just a correction to "A music fan's" comment, the Oasis song played at the end of the movie is called "Stop Crying Your Heart Out", which can be found on their Heathen Chemistry album.

5.0 out of 5 stars to those seeking, Jul 8 2004
By A Customer
This is just a side note to those seeking certain songs in the movie that are not on the score cd. I noticed there was a song during the film that i thought i would never hear apart from the cd it came on. The song is called "A burDens foLLy" by Argyle Park on thier first album entitled "Misguided". Its an industrial like song with lyrics repeating "Still born dead soul rotting from within" that plays during the middle of the movie when Ashens back is to the camera. I wanted to point this out because this cd is absolutely amazing...it is very hard to find either of the two Argyle Park cd s at this time...but if you like music similar to that...check out CELLDWELLER who was heavily involved with the song "A burDens foLLy".

3.0 out of 5 stars Good score, but left out some movie's better moments..., Mar 17 2004
By Carlos F. Lugo "sp00ki" (Philadelphia, PA) - See all my reviews

I'm highly disappointed with the fact that this OST only includes the original instrumental score.
Many of the more powerful musical moments in the film were actually provided by many of the movie's non-original songs-- none of which were included on this soundtrack.
To be fair, the score is actually quite good.
It covers a full range of emotions, and is very well arranged. Its right up there with "Amelie" and "Donnie Darko" as one of the better motion picture scores in my collection.
Its not, however, a full representation of the movie itself.
I remember leaving the theater thinking to myself, "I've gotta buy that soundtrack".
Reconsider purchasing this album if you thought the same thing...
